What’s the first thing you generally notice about somebody, especially the first time you meet them? For me, it’s their mouth and frankly, I don’t think I’m alone. I’ve asked multiple people that question and most answers are always the same – people notice the pearly whites before they notice anything else, especially if there is an “issue” with them. And that brings me to another point – there aren’t too many things that can create a bigger lack of confidence than messed up teeth. If you have a problem with your hair, you can cover it up with a wig or hat. A problem some other place? Cover it with clothing. But when it comes to the teeth, you can’t hide that very well so that’s why you need to find somebody who can provide not only good dental work, but dental work that isn’t over the top expensive. Not everybody has dental insurance so it’s important to find somebody with good reviews obviously, but somebody that also doesn’t take everything in your wallet. For me – keeping my teeth in tip-top shape is a must and I think a lot of people share a similar view point, so make sure to keep brushing, flossing, and find yourself a good dental care option!

Zombie? Oddly, yes.

The former member of the black and gold has connections with a college teammate who now acts on “The Walking Dead” and apparently Ward will appear in a future episode of AMC’s hit show about zombies. He will be a zombie extra – though – no word on if he’ll have any type of speaking role. I’m guessing that’ll be doubtful.

I’d post a picture, but, I don’t think many people need to be grossed out this early in the morning, lol.

Actress Rowan Blanchard will play Cory and Topanga’s offspring in the forthcoming Disney Channel spinoff of Boy Meets World, which I’m pretty darn excited about – just don’t tell my friends, lol.

EW.com broke the news that the 11-year-old, who rose to the top of a national casting search, had nabbed the title role in the much buzzed-about comedy pilot — which the network has officially ordered; production is scheduled to begin in February.

There’s no word as to when it will actually premier, though, I’m guessing we’ll see it this Summer or at the latest, this coming Fall (which seems FOREVER away).

Don’t you just love nostalgia?

Ugh!! I woke up this morning and the right side of my mouth was killing me. I didn’t think a ton of it – maybe just sinus pressure or something, you know? But it just kept aching. I checked it out to see if I could see anything strange and nothing appeared out of the ordinary, so, I’m thinking if this keeps up I’m going to have to get some dental care. Not exactly the way I wanted to start my week, obviously, but I’d rather make sure everything is okay and there is nothing wrong then having something bad going on. You always hear these horror stories about something happening and I certainly don’t want that to be me, lol.

Hopefully it’s just some oddity, like I said, maybe sinus pressure or something and there isn’t anything wrong with my teeth. I really don’t want to have a cavity or something – needles and my mouth aren’t friends and they don’t want to meet anytime soon, lol. I’ve had my fair share of needles to the gums before and if I can avoid having anymore, I’m all for it. I guess we’ll see here soon..*gulp*.

You know, you wouldn’t think it, but it’s not exactly easy to find Standard Washers when you’re trying to repair something. For example – the other day I was going to get something out of my freezer and the door handle came off. No big deal, right? I mean – I’m not the most handy guy in the world but I can fix a simple door handle. I take the other part of it off and notice that the washer (which was cheap plastic) had broken and I needed to replace it. I went outside into the garage to find a replacement and I…couldn’t. Seriously? I had washers, of course, but they weren’t the right size. So I got in the car, drove down to the local hardware store and they were out of stock. Seriously? And how am I supposed to open my freezer now without a handle!? lol

Needless to say, I just went back home, got online and found me some nice quality, STAINLESS STEEL washers. I bought a couple so I had them in case anything else decided to break, I wouldn’t have to go on a wild goose chase just to find something as simple as a washer.

This is a question I’ve asked myself for quite some time. Of all the free e-mail services, which do you prefer, and why?

For me – I’ve used the three big guns: GMail, Hotmail and Yahoo. The first e-mail I ever had was a Hotmail address, so, I think I have a bit of an attachment to their system but I liked it much better before it became Windows Mail or whatever they’re trying to pawn it off as today. I really don’t like the e-mail client they force you to use (grr) and the interface on-line is sub par in my opinion, which brings me to Yahoo…

God, does Yahoo stink or what? There are lots of reasons I love Yahoo but their e-mail is NOT one of them. I honestly can’t even use it. Maybe I’m just e-mail picky, but it’s ugly, the design is just weird – I feel like I should be using a Windows 95 computer while working in my Yahoo mail.

So this brings me lastly to Gmail, which, I guess right now seems to be my favorite. I don’t use it in a client, something I maybe should look into, but their on-line interface is done very nicely and everybody seems to flow and work well. The best part though is the spam assassin. Seriously, it’s like a sniper – NOTHING gets through. Pretty impressive if I don’t say so myself. I can’t really ever recall missing out on an e-mail either that was hit by the Spam control, so, not only is it effective but it’s efficient and smart.

Push comes to shove, I’d say my favorites in order are GMail, Hotmail and a distant third for Yahoo. Anybody agree?

Guest Post from Susan Gold:

Humans like to collect things that they are passionate about, and in our modern world, one thing is for sure. People love coffee, especially Starbucks coffee! It is not surprising that Starbucks coffee cups are being collected by both casual and serious coffee drinkers. Coffee mugs have been a fad for over a decade, with no sign of their popularity fading. For both the casual and experienced Starbuck coffee mug collectors, there are specific bragging rights to one’s collection. Starbuck coffee mugs you’ve bought on eBay, and the coffee mugs you’ve purchased yourself at a Starbucks store.

Loyal customers love to buy Starbucks coffee mugs from different cities in which they visit, and the coffee company has been more than happy to accommodate their customers in this regard. Starbucks produces travel coffee cups, holiday mugs, wonderfully decorated hand painted mugs and many more types of cups, glasses and mugs. The more cities a Starbucks coffee mug collector visits the better for their mug collection. Starbucks mugs from large cities are the most sought after. New York, Los Angeles, Orlando, San Francisco, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore, London, Venice, Paris, and Madrid are just some of the city mugs that collectors love displaying in their homes.

Some serious collectors can have more than 100 Starbucks coffee mugs, which they display proudly in glass cases, shelves and specially designed coffee mug display racks. Starbucks coffee mugs are well made and can be heavy. Mounting a coffee display rack is serious business. To ensure that your collection of Starbucks coffee mugs is safe, a wall rack needs to be firmly anchored to the wall, and the best way to do that is to use rivets instead of nails. Starting a collection of your own is easy and fun. The first step you have to take is in the direction of your local Starbucks store.

I know I’m exaggerating a bit, there are few worse feelings than starting up your computer and hearing the woeful click of death on your hard drive. At that point, you just have to scurry and try to get as much information off of your computer as you can. Trust me, I’ve been there, multiple times – but thankfully we have other options now that should prevent that from ever happening, assuming you take the right steps. With proper Data storage you can make sure that all of your important information is kept not only safe, but secure, which is all you can really ask for. I’ve lost so many neat and important documents over the years all because I didn’t set up some type of proper data storage and you can bet your bottom dollar I wont ever allow that to happen again. Once is enough and if you don’t have your items stored properly, you’re going to be kicking yourself when you wish you had. Trust me on that one.

I admit it – I love Winter. Actually, while I do enjoy the actual weather that Winter brings, my favorite part of it is the holiday time. I’m always the first one on the block to get all of the Fall and Christmas decorations down out of the attic and put up. People think I’m crazy – probably look at me like I’m Walt Grizwald or something, haha, but I love it. Not only do I decorate the outside of the house, but, I also decorate the inside as well. I mean – don’t get me wrong – the outside all decorated is fantastic and such, but you’re not outside much in the Winter other than when you’re coming home from some place so you only see the outdoor decorations for a few minutes each day. The inside however, you see ALL THE TIME so you really want to make sure you put forth a good effort into decorating the interior of your home.

For me, one thing I love to put up along with all of the typical Christmas and Fall decor are flameless candles with timer. Have you ever seen those? They are amazing. I don’t know about you, but, the last thing I want in my house is an open flame. I mean, traditional candles are dangerous enough at any point of the year, but at Winter time with all of the straggling decorations around the house? You’re just begging for a fire. Now, I know what you’re going to say – while they look great, they don’t smell like candles. Ah ha! That’s where you’re wrong. They do – actually, they smell better. There are actually flamless candles that have built in smells to them so that when you “turn them on” they send out a beautiful smell, just like a traditional candle would do.

So tell me – where in the world does a traditional candle beat out a flameless one? A flameless candle has no danger, they can smell just as nice, there is no mess of candle wax and you constantly don’t have to be on alert about the flame, like you would a traditional candle as its all run off of battery operated led lights. Sounds like we have a winner to me.

I know, I know – a lot of people across the country love the cool, Winter weather that is now hitting much of the United States. And while that’s nice, it’s going to take just a few weeks for people to turn their backs on the cold and wish for warm Spring and Summer weather. Thankfully, living where I do, I don’t really have to deal with the cold – so to those that do, I have one thing to say – nener, nener, nener. Haha, in all seriousness though, it does get cool in the evenings here but during the day it’s very pleasant outside – so much so that you can actually sit outside comfortability during the “Winter” months, which is fantastic. It’s great for me because not only can I get a good deal when it comes to ca patio furniture but I can also get some great deals on outdoor furniture repair.

I mean, I guess no matter where you live though, there are pluses and minuses. For example, despite living in an area where I can pretty much live in “Summer” weather all year round, the wind and salt air does some pretty hefty damage to my furniture so every year during the “down” seasons I have to get it fixed up. Most of the time its just a refinish or maybe a new paint job, but other times it can break down the metals which creates some bigger issues.

Thankfully though I’ve found a great place who will not only help me repair my patio furniture, but also do it at a very reasonable price.

Being patio furniture is so big and bulky, chances are you don’t really have any place to store it – we know it’s not fitting in anybody’s attic, lol, so it’s going to get weathered – just the way it is. But, don’t let it get too worn down because if it’s gets too far, you can’t really fix it up all that well. Keep it maintained and you’ll extend the life of your patio furniture for a long time. And given what you invested in your furniture when you bought it, that’s the smart move – at least to me.
